How to read a profile cross-section
A cross-section drawing shows the profile exactly as it comes out of the die. Overall dimensions give the outer size, wall thickness gives the metal thickness, and weight per metre tells you how much material you are buying. This guide explains each number.
Overall dimensions
The width × height of the profile in millimetres — for example 40 × 40 for a square tube. These are the numbers that must fit your assembly, so check them first.
Wall thickness
The thickness of the metal walls, also in millimetres. Thicker walls mean a stronger, heavier profile. Our tables show the nominal thickness; manufacturing tolerances apply and are noted where the catalogue prints them.
Weight per metre
How much one metre of the profile weighs, in kg/m. Multiply by your total metres to estimate the order weight — useful for freight calculations.
Reading the shape
Each series page shows a traced cross-section diagram. Channels, angles, tubes and tracks are drawn to show their real proportions — compare shapes visually before shortlisting models.
Matching an existing profile
To replace a profile you already use, measure its outer dimensions and wall thickness with calipers and send us the numbers (or a photo). We match it against the catalogue models and confirm the closest fit in your quotation.
What if my profile is not in your catalogue?
Send us the dimensions or drawing. If no catalogue model matches, discuss your requirements on WhatsApp — custom options are confirmed at quotation.
Are the weights in your tables exact?
They are the catalogue figures in kg/m, used for estimating order weight. Actual production weights vary within tolerance.
Next step: discuss your project on WhatsApp or see how ordering works.
